French at heart. Local by nature.
La Petite Colline opened on Muswell Hill Broadway in February 2024. We bring classic French bistro cooking, good wine and a warm welcome to the top of the hill.
What’s in a name?
“The little hill”
A little corner of France on Muswell Hill.
La Petite Colline means “the little hill” in French. It is our nod to Muswell Hill, one of the highest points in north London, with views over the city from nearby Alexandra Palace.
The area takes its name from the old “Mossy Well”, a spring once said to have healing powers. Today the Broadway is lined with handsome Edwardian parades, independent shops and neighbourhood restaurants. It felt like the perfect place for a proper French bistro.

La Petite Colline comes from the team behind La Petite Auberge, the long-standing French bistros on Upper Street in Islington and on Cockfosters Road in Cockfosters.
Muswell Hill is our newest home. We have brought the things our guests love: classic dishes cooked properly, generous portions, good value and staff who look after you.
In the kitchen
Chef Patron Baran Baltaci
Classic French cooking with a personal touch.
Our Chef Patron Baran Baltaci brings experience from some of London’s best-known kitchens, including The Ivy, J Sheekey and Scott’s.
His menu celebrates the dishes that make a French bistro special. Think soupe à l’oignon and escargots, moules marinière, coq au vin, bœuf bourguignon and crêpe Suzette. Seafood is a real passion, from Maldon rock oysters to bouillabaisse and lemon sole Véronique.

Good value
Our set lunch is £16.95 for 2 courses, every day from 12pm to 5pm. Proper French food should not be kept for special occasions.
Something for everyone
Vegetarian galettes, vegan risotto and stuffed aubergine sit alongside our classic meat and fish dishes.
A proper Sunday
Every Sunday we serve a traditional roast with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings, with a French bistro twist.
